YouTube’s Video Rental website gearing up for full scale renting at low prices
by Shayne Rana YouTube may be the most popular video viewing site on the web and they intend to make it even more popular with their online video rental site. Of course Google’s behind it all since they do happen to own the site. Unfortunately the whole idea wasn’t really met with a whole lot of praise initially but KNOWING Google I’m sure it’ll catch on. So far nothing is really official but with 500 partners things are bound to get real popular real soon. Videos rent for $0.99 to $3.99 and range from full-length movies to TV-show episodes. Each episode or movie will be available for viewing after rent for 24-72 hours. I just hope user generated content doesn’t go this way as well.
