YouTube experiments with 3D videos

by Gareth Mankoo

All thanks to the surge in 3D movies in the recent past, YouTube do not want to feel left out. For this purpose they have opened doors to let in the wonders of 3D videos. The videos they managed to display as 3D can be viewed with the help of a score of viewing options. These include cross-eyed options, mirror splits, left-image only, Focus Through as well as a host of glass color selection options that subsequently affect the way a video is viewed.

Just make sure that you can handle these videos without getting all woozy since the technology is still in their early days, at least in case of YouTube. It will be good if the thing clicks though, I don’t mind seeing terror threats from Afghanistan in 3-D no more.
