The Yamaha Relit LSX-700 Bluetooth speaker will light up the room as well
by Shayne Rana
Yamaha’s Relit LSX-700 Speaker is all about ‘shedding some real light’ into your favorite tunes. And they mean that quite literally. The LSX-700 features complete Bluetooth connectivity (Ver.2.1 + EDR) for an ‘illuminated’ listening experience in your home, office, wherever. Housed inside a an artificial leather, tower shaped form to give you a real sense of style, the LSX-700 is equipped with a couple of 7cm full-range speakers to reflect sound off the wall and one of the 6cm full-range variety to dish out audio from up front using a reflector based at the top of the tower.
Yamaha has infused the LSX-700 with apt-x tech for high fidelity wireless streaming but it’s the lighting aspect that makes the speaker so very interesting. With a set of built in LED’s (six) and a corresponding smartphone/tablet app, you’ll able to adjust the lights to your personal preference for the right kind of ambiance and setting. The DTA CONTROLLER app is available for iOS as well as Android devices and features settings like volume control, timer options and light adjustment functions. The iOS app also lists music files. To help you find the most suitable spot to place the speaker, Yamaha has incorporated advanced audio settings wherein the placement and distance from the wall will automatically adjust the audio for the most optimal quality. The LSX-700 also comes with an Aux In (3.5mm) option. It’s priced at $723 (73,500 YEN) and will be available in two color options – black and brown and also includes a separate, super slim remote control.
