Yahoo! Japan will make use of Google Search in the future

There’s word that Yahoo! Japan will be selling their souls to Google Search. This means that the search engine would be preferred over Bing that has already moved out of Beta in Japan. Yahoo! Japan have released a statement that goes something like this: ‘(the decision to go with Google) does not impact the global rollout and implementation of the Yahoo! search alliance with Microsoft, except in the Japanese market.

Yahoo! in the US owns a mighty 35% stake in Yahoo! Japan, and well it also has a listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. A majority owner though happens to be Tokyo-based ‘SoftBank’.
