World’s thinnest Glass for touch devices will be 0.28 mm thin
by Gareth MankooWhen you know that the room for devices is reducing and so is their size, to accommodate the massive demand for miniatures, slim-jims and thinness, you wouldn’t be too surprised with this bit of news. Asahi Glass is all set to give us a tinge of hint as to what future touch displays could be like. The soda-lime glass is 15% slimmer than the existing product that the company banks on. The new slim glass panel for touchscreen devices will be exhibited at 49th SID International Symposium, Seminar and Exhibition (SID 2011).
SID 2011 is going to be held on May 15th and will go on till May 20th in Los Angeles. Mass production of the glass and sale of it will commence from the end of April.
