World’s first Airport IMAX theater to come up in Hong Kong
by Gavril MankooTravelers passing through the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) can now spend their valuable time doing a lot more than simple lounging around waiting for their connecting flights. Making stopovers more entertaining than ever, the HKIA will soon pull the veil off a swank new IMAX cinema in place of the old 4D Extreme Screen at terminal two. To be opened in June, this cinema by Hong Kong-based cinema chain UA Cinemas will show both 2D as well as 3D movies, on a 13.8 meters high and 22.4 meters wide screen. With a 358 seating capacity, this theater will be Hong Kong’s largest IMAX. With tickets to be priced at HK$150, this new cinema is the perfect way to spend those waiting hours enjoyably.
