Video: Sony Xperia Sola made official

by Gareth Mankoo

The firsts of the few phones to make it through without the ‘Ericsson’ tag on them have just rolled out and we welcome the Xperia Sola. Formerly known as the Sony MT27i, or ‘Pepper’, the Sola will fill in the mid-range realm of smartphones with 3.7″ Reality Display powered by Mobile Bravia Engine, a 1GHz dual-core processor, a 5-megapixel camera, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, NFC, DLNA, xLOUD and 3D Surround Sound, access to the Sony Entertainment Network as well as pre-installed Video and Music Unlimited apps.

There’s nothing said on the pricing or availability of the Sony Xperia Sola but it surely will get the Ice Cream Sandwich update in the summer of 2012.
