Verizon to charge customers $2 for bill payments online and via phone
by Gavril MankooVerizon came up with yet another way to squeeze its customers of every last dollar it can. This time, the service provider has decided to charge a $2 fee for every online bill payment or IVR payments. So basically, customers are required to pay up, to pay up! With information in regards to this being leaked out of a memo, customers willing to pay via electronic check (ACH) or AutoPay however don’t need to cough up the extra two bucks. Now the $2 bill might seem a puny amount for some, especially given the fact that Verizon users are particularly accustomed to paying big bucks, though squeezing the cash out of customers for every bill payment seems harsh on the service provider’s part.
