Vauxhall Motors’ Camera System Can Save Loads on Speeding Tickets

by yogesh

Vauxhall Motors is a British subsidiary of General Motors. But what’s really cool about this company is that they have developed a camera system that takes about 30 pictures of the road in a second and analyzes them with recognition software that detects all the speed limit signs that the car passes through and then posts the current limit on the dashboard of the car. This camera system is an optional feature that will be available in Vauxhall’s upcoming Insignia sedan and might be available for 2010 models of cars in the US. Of course such a system debunks your chances of getting out of a speeding ticket, because you cant claim that you didn’t see a sign!
