US Army introduces $35,000 rifle called the XM25 Counter Defilade Target Engagement System
by Gareth MankooThere’s no frill intended in the extension of names, especially of modern weaponry but that belief is countered when one hears about the XM25 Counter Defilade Target Engagement System. The awesomeness of this rifle is its projection of small grenades that automatically detonate in mid-air. It has an accuracy of 1-meter over a distance of 800-meters. It can prove to be a rude shock to combat warriors who hide behind a wall. The grenades explode at least a meter behind them.
It all sounds good until you realize that the XM25 will cost you $35,000. So if you were planning to blow your neighbors head off on the other side of the fence then rather go in for bricks.
