Tomy Engimono – A Solar powered cat that wards off evil and brings good luck

Leave it to TakaraTomy to combine Feng Shui with technology. The Japanese toy maker has unveiled the ‘beckoning cat’ line up of solar powered cats which according to Japanese tradition keeps evil spirits out and brings good luck. It has a tiny solar panel in the front which generates electricity for the Kitty to wave gently. There will be 27 species on sale for 1575 Yen each ($ 10) in Japan only.
