T-Mobile accidently leaks iPhone 3GS specs
by yogesh
Apple is being very secretive about what chips lie inside the iPhone 3G S. When asked, Apple only confirmed that the “s” in 3G S stands for speed, given their strategy, it could also stand for secrecy. T-Mobile in the Netherlands apparently didn’t get any directive mentioning this and they went ahead and posted the hardware specs on the product page for the new models. As per the specs posted, it has a 256MB RAM for the OS, which is double of the original iPhone (128MB), and a 600MHz processor, which is much higher than the first two models (412MHz). This additional RAM makes all the difference to the iPhone 3G S’ performance and its processor surpasses the performance of the second-gen iPod Touch’s 532MHz too. It’s not even worth comparing the iPhone to the Palm Pre, which also has a 600Mhz processor.
All this doesn’t matter at the moment, cause once the iPhone is out in the market, it will be ripped apart by every reviewer on this planet. Until then, all we can do is wait and watch. Thank you T-Mobile!
