The world’s shortest escalator

Installed at Kawasaki More’s department store in Japan this 5 step escalator is the world’s shortest escalator according to the Guinness Book of Records. It was in 1989 and will still retain the record if someone has not built a small and useless automatic staircase in the two decades.
