Teac Radio / CD recorder with USB memory and MP3 playback

by Gareth Mankoo

A few of those things that come in from Japan do not make it to the US but are totally worth talking about. Take this awesome contraption for instance. It’s called the Retorodezain from TEAC and plays back files from a USB memory stick, CD/AM/FM support and of course, a very retro design. It also dons a 2.1 speaker system with a 65mm pair of speakers and a 80mm subwoofer. You can be guaranteed of some good bass from the 10W subwoofer. It also adds a mini-jack headphone output and an included remote control. It also incorporates a single-byte alphanumeric display that shows ID3 tags.

The Retorodezain player is available in red, white and black. It will cost you 20,000 Yen ($234).
