Statues made from recycled stuff by Dario Tironi

by Gavril Mankoo

Old stuff doesn’t necessarily need to land up in the bin. For those who’ve been waving the Recycling flag long enough, here’s something that’s sure to have your eyes go wide. Designed and pieced together by Italian artist Dario Tironi, these life-sized statues were made from throw-away stuff, salvaged from being doomed in scrap yards, turned into pieces of art and given a new purpose in life. His statues include human figures and the like and seem artful enough to land up in a pretty decent spot in a modern art museum.

With a little bit of inspiration, we’re pretty sure you could put your trash to good use too, and probably come up with something as beautiful as these.
