Spotify comes to BMW ConnectedDrive’s iOS users

by Gareth Mankoo

A few days ago we saw Spotify making inroads to Uber’s car service. And now we pick up word of the service arriving in BMW’s ConnectedDrive system. The online streaming service has picked up in recent times, offering over 20 million music tracks to users on the go. With the new development, all Spotify users on iOS can enjoy the service in BMW and MINI cars. This applies to users with premium and free versions of the service. The service will enable users to pick from a wide array of music and genre options on Spotify or browse through their very own collections. Another advantage is enjoying the intuitive viewing experience that the ConnectedDriver offers its users. Premium users will be treated to extra high-quality on-demand music streamed at an eargasmic 320 kbps. The features will extend to an ad-free experience and offline hearing as well.

The Spotify app went live on the Apple App Store from November 18th. To make it work, make sure that your car is equipped with the BMW Apps option.
