Sony are on a roll and so is their Vaio collection with new additions being announced at CES 2010. Let’s start off with the ‘F’ series notebooks that come with HD displays (16.4 inch, 16:9), HDMI out, a backlit keyboard and Blu-ray discs. The ‘F’ series may also be the perfect place for Sony to launch the ‘TransferJet’ feature for high-speed, wireless data transfer. Next is the ‘Z’ series laptop that enters the ring weighing just 3 pounds. It will come with a 13.1 inch screen with LED backlight. It will come with some cool ‘Dynamic Hybrid Graphics’ with three modes: Auto, Speed and Stamina. Also included will be a noise cancellation headphone, a cool carbon fiber body and a backlit keyboard. The ‘Y’ series will be more of a battery powerhouse. It can offer up to 7 hours of non-stop functionality, along with certain models that will offer up to 17 hours of battery thanks to a large battery. It will also have HDMI out, a slim 1.3 inch body and a 13.3 inch screen.

Finally, we have the Vaio ‘W’ series notebook that will go green. The 10.1 inch screen on the notebook can offer resolutions of up to 1366 x 768 pixels. The body is made of recycled plastic. Features include ‘springy’ and isolated keys on the keyboard for better typing, Kidzui and Online Family Norton software installed, Windows 7 and plain-Jane styling.
