Sony’s rolling out one smartphone after the other at the speed of light! Just yesterday we told you that Sony Xperia Z3 will be launched at the IFA, but not much of the specs were revealed. Today we disclose the full specs of Sony’s best smartphone till now, the Xperia Z3.

Sony Xperia Z3 is not much of an upgrade over the Z2 phone but definitely has some cool features which might be of interest for gaming aficionados. Looks wise, it is almost the same as Xperia Z2, only slightly thinner (0.7 mm) and very slightly lighter (9 g). Most of the features are same as the Z2 like the display which is 5.2 inch Trilumious (X – Reality Engine). But the brightness can be increased up to 600 nits, whereas in Z2 it could be done up to 460 nits, a useful feature for using phone in direct sunlight. The back of the phone houses a camera of 20.7 megapixels, again the same as Z2, but Z3 will have an edge over Z2 in terms of ISO which is 12800, the best in any smartphone available currently. Xperia Z3 will have quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC with a 2.5 GHz processor, a little better than 2.3 GHz processor of Z2. One of the most impressive features that the phone is that it supports PS4 Remote Play which means PS4 owners can connect their smartphone to their PS4 over Wi-Fi to use their smartphone as a screen to play PS4 games. Talking about battery, Xperia Z3 promises a whopping talk time of 2 days! Can’t believe it, but if their promise is true, then Z3 will the best smartphone in terms of battery life.

Sony has also released Xperia Z3 compact which is just the younger brother (smaller version) of Z3 with a size of 4.6 inches and 720p display. It comes in brighter hue of red and green with the usual black and white and has a translucent finish. Specs are mostly the same as Xperia Z3 but the pricing might be lower because of the smaller screen size.
