Singapore retails Motorola Xoom 2 at same price as iPad 2

The Motorola Xoom has been a rebellious, four-sided gizmo right from the start. Now, with the upgrade to the Motorola Xoom 2, you would expect a step away from all the competitiveness and greater focus in the novelty of the offering. But alas, that isn’t to be. The device will work on Android 3.2 Honeycomb, will pack a 10.1-inch form, a Gorilla Glass display for solidness, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, and rugged features such as water and dust resistance. It is both lighter and thinner than the original model.

The real deal is that the Motorola Xoom 2 costs nearly the same as the iPad 2. This we can deduce from the S$978 price tag. So much for the competitive pricing, you may ask.
