Seagate outs Pulsar XT.2 and Pulsar.2 SSDs for enterprises

by Gareth Mankoo

Seagate have added new fuel to their Pulsar line of SSDs. The two new drives are aimed at enterprises. With data rates of up to 6Gbps over SATA, the MLC NAND-equipped Pulsar.2 and the 6Gbps Pulsar XT.2 with a 2.5-inch form factor with SLC memory are surely among the more sought after devices for business use. The Pulsar.2 also makes use of MLC Flash to lower costs. The Pulsar XT.2 is shipping out with read speeds of up to 360Mbps (read) and 300Mbps (write).

It seems that the price of these drives is to be extremely low but we do not have a figure yet to support this claim.
