Sci-fi laser stitches wounds
by anoop
A doctor from Tel Aviv University has demonstrated how lasers can be used to stitch wounds better than the conventional way. The laser allows a wound to be welded shut as opposed to sutured, which makes it far more watertight and there’s less tearing and the possibility of scars are minimized with faster healing. The treatment is done very carefully by controlling the temperature of the beam and the patients treated with the laser have enjoyed faster healing and less scarring.
