by mohsin

Samsung doesn’t seem to throw out the UMPC yet; it is all set to launch the Samsung NP-Q1EX which will be jam packed with a 7 inch WSVGA touchscreen display at 1,024 × 600 resolution, a camera, VIA Isaiah processor, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. What makes this UMPC special is that it also supports SiRF Star embedded GPS receiver. It includes a 4000mAh battery, SD card slot, 3.5mm audio jack, and HDD for storage. It offers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as connectivity options, however the device does not feature a slide out keyboard like many other new gadgets but that doesn’t stop it from being a rather cool looking device.

The NP-Q1EX is running the VIA Nano ULV U2500 processor coupled with Chrome9 HC graphics. No word on the price or availability of the device yet, but keep stay tuned for more updates.
