Samsung Galaxy Xcover is rugged, runs Gingerbread

We hadn’t seen a rugged Galaxy phone from the house of Samsung till now. The Xcover carries with it the promise to fight dust, dirt and water (up to depths of 1 meter). It is IP67 certified to prove its abilities. The phone runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and carries a bevy of features that make it a worthy rugged piece. The specs read as: a 3.6-inch display screen, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, a 3.2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi support, and darn good looks I must say.

So far the handset is all set for a Germany launch. We’re still waiting to know if it will cover other regions as well.
