Samsung Unveils Classy Looking SUHD Smart TVs Powered by Tizen and Loaded to the Hilt with ‘best-in-class’ Features
If I were to say that the South Korean’s have style (and how), it’s doubtful the statement would be met with heckling of any kind. And just to cement that notion, at this year’s CES 2015, Samsung proved just how much style and functionality they can dish out; enter the next generation SUHD TV from Samsung, the next step (so they say) in high-end home entertainment viewing technology.

Following the latest trend of curved UHD viewing angles, this latest SUHD TV comes packed with upgraded viewing technology and all the goodies one expects from a Smart TV. Incidentally, the TV’s Smart functionality is powered by Samsung’s Tizen system (an open-source platform supporting web standard for TV app development).

Samsung is also collaborating with 20th Century Fox to try and provide their customers with optimized content to meet the obviously more premium quality of SUHD standards. Samsung SUHD TV JS9500 will feature the company’s Chamfer bezel design. SUHD TV JS9000 model has a soft, textured Shirring design on the back, ensuring the TV has a stylish edge from whichever angle you view it. Systems like Quick Connect, will allow users to connect to the TV using their Samsung smartphones (paired via BLE – Bluetooth Low Energy). Other services include the ability to view or download UHD media from providers like Amazon, Comcast, DIRECTV and M-GO Samsung has also introduced its very own Milk Video platform allowing consumers to discover, collect, and share all of the web’s best videos.

Samsung will offer three new series of SUHD TVs – JS9500, JS9000 and JS8500 – in nine screen sizes ranging from 48” to 88”. There’s no pricing announced yet but don’t expect this kind of quality to be affordable.
