Samsung Galaxy S III faces stiff competition from the Pantech Vega S5 in Korea

by Gavril Mankoo

And just when we were beginning to think nothing got better than Samsung’s flagship, the Galaxy S III, Korean manufacturer Pantech pulled the veil off its latest brainchild, one that could very well give Samsung’s offspring a tough time! Called the Vega S5 Android LTE smartphone, this one comes with a 5” screen, two inches bigger than the Galaxy S III and sports a “Zero Bezel” technology”, making the phone narrower too! Measuring in at 6.89mm wide and sporting a 13 megapixel camera, the phone packs a Qualcomm S4 Snapdragon MSM8960 CPU, a 720×1280 IPS display and runs Ice Cream Sandwich. However, the $800 price tag and the fact that Pantech doesn’t really distribute its products world-wide is indeed a downer to this magnificent device.
