Roachbot, the robotic cockroach, now controllable via the iPhone and iPad
by Gavril MankooCockroaches are plain creepy, and watching these pests walk around your kitchen isn’t really an eye-pleasing sight. The Japanese however think otherwise, and earlier this year unveiled the Roachbot, an equally creepy and hair-raising robot that’s supposed to replicate the real thing, for reasons we cannot fathom. By Japan Trust Technologies, the Roachbot is now supportable by the Apple iPad and the iPhone, enabling users to quickly download an application and control their robotic cockroaches using their iOS devices. Also, unlike the previous controller built just for the Roachbot, the application includes new controls with a Trim Correction Slider, giving the robotic cockroach more realistic movements, making it more spine-chilling than ever.
