A company called RedEye has developed a small 3.5mm connector and corresponding software for the Apple iPad that will transform it into universal remote control. On the plus side if you’re not an iPad fan but insist on sticking to tour iPhone or iPod Touch, the RedEye Mini connector will work on those too. Your TVs, Blu-ray player and or DVD player, home theater receivers, Xbox 360, etc. can all be controlled from your Apple device. The little headphone jack IR system is priced at just $49 the app is free and should be out sometime in Spring.
