Pope Benedict XVI uses Sony tablet to switch on Christmas tree lights
And if you’ve been under the impression that His Holiness, the leader of the Catholic Church Pope Benedict XVI hasn’t had much to do with technology ever since he was presented with an iPod a few years ago; we’ve got tidings for you! The Pope recently used a tablet to light up a 2,132 foot tall lighting display in Gubbio, Italy. Seated in Vatican, some 130 miles away from the venue, the Pope used a Sony Tablet (which from the image resembles the S1) packed with the Android OS to switch on the lighting display on the world’s largest Christmas tree via the internet. And all this while, we thought the Pope would probably succumb to the use of the iPad, the self-proclaimed “God “of tablets!
