An Android-powered camera is a sure shot success in this day and age. And for those who would like the best of the retro Polaroid age, the Socialmatic camera is just what the doctor ordered. At CES 2014, Polaroid brought this beauty into public notice, promising Android as the operating back-end for it. It packs an impressive 14-megapixel camera on the front and a 2-megapixel shooter on the rear. Additionally, the camera stores data on a 4GB storage card with additional expansion accommodated by a microSD expansion slot. You can view your captures on the 4.5-inch display touchscreen and connect via Wi-Fi.

The amazing aspect of bringing the world of instant-print photography and digital variants of the same is that it can please generations of shutterbugs. In case of the Socialmatic camera, Zink’s ink-free paper will handle the photo printing aspect. The camera is expected to roll out into the market by the first quarter of this year.
