Polaroid unveils the C3 camera, extremely cute and heavy on features

by Gavril Mankoo

Polaroid’s popularity as a camera brand and a contemporary technological genius might have faded over time, but that sure hasn’t stopped these folks from pulling out some pretty shutterbug-pleasing pieces of technology at CES 2014. Among its many releases, Polaroid showed off this 35-mm cube camera called the C3. Somewhat reminiscent of the Instagram logo for reasons we cannot particularly point out, this tiny cube camera includes some surprising gadgetry, including a 120-degree wide-angle lens capable of capturing HD video in 1280 x 720 and 640 x 580 resolution. The camera’s waterproof, just in case you decide to take it outdoors and drop it into a puddle.

That apart, the little C3 contains 2MB of internal storage, and a micro SD slot expandable up to 32 GB. Polaroid has also included a microphone and an LED light for video-capture. A camera this small is pretty unreal, even though we have smaller cameras packed into the backs of our smartphones. Created in a host of eye-catching colors, the C3 action camera is a great way to capture all of life’s ups and downs on the go, without having to resort to a hefty DSLR that, in comparison with the C3, complicates human existence!
