Pencil Launcher creates lethal armor out of school stationery

We definitely have guns and other means to get to people who we hate but how about you try something that uses something as harmless as pencils and comes with bucket-loads of geek quotient. Here is a pencil flinger or launcher, whatever you choose to call it, from Slingshot guru Joerg Sprave which puts power even in the hands of a fifth grade boy. Hailed as Nerd Revenge 2000, this pump-action device can hold 10 pencils and launches them at almost 160km/h.

So you can imagine if you had one of those really sharp pencils flying in your direction at this speed, unless you have steel skin, you’re going to be knocked down. Check out the video below to catch this skewing neatly through an apple.
