Onkyo’s new CS-V645 and V445 mini systems are ready to play nice with your iPod or iPhone

It’s not like there’s a shortage of iPod docks the world over, no indeedy. Yamaha’s got a few of their own and so do a few of the other big players like Onkyo who have just announced an all new integrated audio system the CS-V645 that comes complete with iPod/iPhone docking. The CS-V645 is actually a mini system that’s also equipped with a DVD/CD drive (What, no Blu-ray?). Like any and all new mini or full blown home AV set ups, this baby comes locked and loaded with a built-in USB port that can read audio, image and video files (MP3, WMA, JPEG, DivX). Via the HDMI output, the CS-V645 can upscale content to 1080p. It’s even got an FM tuner on board. Onkyo’s even announced a slightly lower version of the system called the CS-V445 that comes sans DVD drive (CD only) and USB port. Both systems are equipped with a 40-watt amplifier and a pair of two-way loudspeakers though. The higher end CS-V645 should be in time for the Christmas rush and will carry a $399 price tag. The lower end model will be out sooner, sometime at the end of November with a $329 price tag.
