Olympus’ entry-level cameras get waterproof

by Gareth Mankoo

Olympus is giving amateur photographers a chance to make it big underwater. They have come out with two entry level cameras that abide and live-up to the ‘waterproof’ mark. The first of the two is called the X-560WP that’s a 10-megapixel camera. It can capture images up to a depth of 10 feet. It also has automatic scene detection, face detection for up to 16 faces and auto red-eye correction as well. It comes with 3x optical zoom and digital image stabilization. SD and xD memory card support is warranted as well. The T100 is a 12 megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom, AF tracking, face detection up to 12 faces, VGA video recording and a 2.4 inch LCD.

The X-560WP will cost you a good $160. There’s no word on the price of the T100 though.
