NTT Docomo and Seventeen magazine announce Foma SH-05B flip phone, as pick as pink can be
Japan’s NTT Docomo, in a collaboration with “Seventeen” magazine have announced a new FOMA branded clamshell device in the Pinkest of Pink tones they could find. The “SH-05B” that’s due out on Feb 05th is going to be available in two variants of Pink ‘yurukawa pink’ which sort of translates to ‘loosley pink’ and yancha pink which is supposed to mean ‘mischievous pink’. At least that’s what Bable Fish tells me and that’s definitely more interesting than what it could actually mean if they do have other meanings.
The handsets look quite plain to be honest with simple squared off forms with a small monochrome display on the outside and a rather large 3.0-inch TFT on the inside. It’s loaded with features that include a 5MP camera, microSD card support (up to 16GB), GPS and Bluetooth. It’s also a 3G ready device. To further enhance its feminine appeal it’s equipped with a mirror function for the camera for those quick bathroom touch ups. What? You thought they take their phones in there to have conversations?
