Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT) Corp just pulled out a shiny new system that managed to grab a load of attention at the Wireless Technology Park (WTP) 2011 in Yokohama City, Japan. The system, a data transmission system for the IEEE802.11ac next-generation wireless LAN standard aimed to realize an effective throughput of 1 Gbps will help wirelessly transmit data to three users at the same time with an effective throughput of 120Mbps. Using a MIMO-based space division multiplex connection method and the 5GHz frequency band, the new NTT system will soon be commercialized and will soon be common-place for home and office use!
