NTT DoCoMo and Fujitsu develops double-sided touchscreen smartphone

by Gavril Mankoo

As if a single touchscreen wasn’t enough on smartphones, NTT DoCoMo is currently chiselling out a device with two touchscreens, on behind and one up front! Being jointly developed with help from Fujitsu, the phone enables you to access content using the touchscreen on the back, without having to obscure the display on the front with your fingers! Currently sporting a QVGA (320 x 240) display, the prototype’s dual screen technology expands various possibilities, including enabling users to touch both sides at once! Also, a dual display as such makes gripping functions better and NTT DoCoMo and Fujitsu are currently working on upscaling this technology.
