Now listen while you lounge out on your Subsonic Chair

by Shalu Pillai

The Subsonic Chair originates from a design laid out by Greg Ball, an instructor of mechanical design technology at SAIT Polytechnic in Calgary, Alberta, as an entry into designboom’s ‘teenage furniture’ competition in 2005. Since then, he has made the chair a reality.

Designed particularly for teenagers (or some adults!) who enjoy both lounging and cranking their music, the Subsonic Chair comes with a set of 16-inch subwoofers which forms the base of your seat itself, and lets you hear and feel single note or sound when hooked up to your player or a gaming console. How easy is that!
