Now available, the Samsung Galaxy S II in South Korea only
by Shalu Pillai
Samsung Electronics has rolled out the sequel to its flagship Galaxy S II smartphone exclusively in South Korea, while the rest of the world will have to wait until May for a release. The Samsung Galaxy S II will be released globally from May through 140 operators in 120 different countries; the company is also expecting a 500 per cent increase in the sales of its Galaxy Tab tablets.
Samsung hopes that the use of their own dual-core processor in the Galaxy S II will be able to help keep costs down as volume increases. It is targeted to achieve a global sales figure of more than 10 million this year.
