Nintendo DS slide controller add-on out in Japan

Nintendo recently filed a motion-sensing patent recently and maybe it has something to do with the new slide controller peripheral out in Japan. The new slide controller accessory for Nintendo DS is a device that plugs directly into the GBA cartridge slot of the DS / DS Lite. The slide controller turns the entire DS into a mouse via an optical sensor on its underside. It comes bundled with a new game for the handheld called the Slide Adventure: Mag Kid. There is no news whether this new add-on will hit the US shores, but your Japanese friends can pick up the bundle for ¥5,800 ($49).
