Nexus 7 spotted with possible Key Lime Pie build

by Gareth Mankoo

A user in Chromium bug tracker has been busy running tests on a number of mobile devices. From these, the ones that caught the curious eye were a Nexus 7 and Nexus 4, both listed as having the KRS36B build of Android. Both these devices aren’t strangers to constant updates. Only recently, both the Nexus models were updated with the very contemporary JSS15J and JWR66V builds for the Nexus 7 and Nexus 4, respectively. It’s evident that the ‘J’ in the build name stands for Jelly Bean. Then why not go on to contemplate the ‘K’ in the new build to be Key Lime Pie? Google have been tight-lipped on the release and versioning of the Key Lime Pie platform.

What’s for sure is that it will most likely land up with a Nexus phone, be it as an Android 4.5 version or an all new Android 5. If the image we see here is anything to be believed, then we’re surely looking at more Chrome-tone colors.
