New 470 series Samsung SSDs cost a tad too much
by Gareth Mankoo
Given that Samsung have decided to finally dress their new Solid State Drives (SSDs) and send them out for the public to devour, we can well expect something that’s quite affordable and within our reach, just like most of the other gizmos that the Korean company rains down on us. However, the 470 series SSDs from the company cost too much, with the pretext of performance enhancements to vouch for the cost. No, it doesn’t impress us too much. They will be available in 64GB, 128GB and 256 GB capacities.
These drives are available only in Europe for now. The 64GB SSD costs $200 and the price goes up to $400 and $600 for the 128GB and 256 GB versions.
