Never like to miss a TV show while taking a bath? Panasonic might have an answer
by Sayan ChakravartyPanasonic has come up with a hand-held/portable TV, with a built in battery and antenna, it is completely waterproof and is specially made to be used while bathing. Water won’t be a hurdle between you and your favourite show anymore. The device is called VIERA SV-ME7000 and is scheduled to be launched on 30th April. It has 10 inch display and a 1024 X 600 resolution. The dimensions of the device are 287.5 × 17.3 × 190.4mm and it weighs around 997g. The built-in battery allows a viewing time of around 3.5 hours. It will be available in two colours: pink and white. It is compatible with “Oheya Jump Link (Room Jump Link)” which enables you to watch TV shows recorded in on other VIERA or DIGA TVs and to connect to the Internet wirelessly with the help of built-in Wi-Fi. The built-in terrestrial SEG tuner will allow the user to tune into 1Seg which is very popular in Japan. The waterproofing is complaint to IPX6/IPX7 grade and can be easily used in bathrooms and kitchen. It is equipped with a SD card slot and can play video formats like AVCHD, MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 MPEG-2 images and JPEG.
Additional features like waterproof remote, ability to connect with intercom and security cameras – makes it one hell of a device.
