Nec Lavie C series notebooks

To take on the Toshiba Qosimo notebook here is the Nec Lavie C series of multimedia notebooks. It is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 processor at 2.00 Ghz and has 160 GB of hard drive. But surprisingly Nec has given it a 15.4 inches wide display (1280 x 1024 pixels) which is too small for the fact that it has a Blu-Ray drive and watching a high-def movie on such a screen is no fun. However Nec does comphensate for the small display by providing an HDMI port for connecting it to your LCD or Plasma. The unit measures 374×292×45.2 – 55.5mm and weighs 4.3 kgs.

The Nec Lavie C series will go on sale in Japan from February for 310,000 Yen ($ 2500).
