NEC develops wheelchair for Stephen Hawking
by Dhiram Shah
NEC along with Japan’s Chiba institute of technology have developed the robotic wheelchair. It makes use of GPS co-ordinates to determine its location and has a sensors attached to its body for avoiding obstacles and to generate a route to move on. It has a special set of wheels which allows it to move in all the directions. Not much information is available about the robotic wheelchair for now. But it is a long time before it becomes a reality, and yes, Stephen Hawking has not ordered one yet.
