Mobile Spy now hacks into the iPhone for immoral spying

by mohsin

Mobile Spy for the iPhone is a combination mobile app and service that lets AT&T subscribers monitor their iPhones in real time, recording all activities including text messages and voice calls. Mobile Spy runs in total stealth mode and no mentions of the program are shown inside the iPhone. Mobile Spy developer Retina-X Studios says the software can invisibly track the call logs, text messages and even the GPS data of any iPhone it is installed on, allowing the eavesdropper to track the user’s whereabouts on a Web site that hosts the stolen data. The software also records inbound and outbound call information with duration of the call. Immediately after activities are logged, they are silently uploaded to the user’s private online account. Accounts can be checked online from any web browser without needing further access to the phone. While Mobile Spy currently targets only iPhone 3G users, another vendor known as Flexispy advertises a similar program that is compatible with both iPhone versions launching Dec. 21. Both programs require the user to “jailbreak” their targets’ iPhone.

The Mobile Spy software was designed for companies to track employees. Activities are uploaded in real time, so even if someone erases the logs on the phone, it’s too late; the records are already stored online. iPhone Mobile Spy, as with the pre-existing Windows Mobile and Symbian versions, costs approx $100 per year for an active subscription.
