Microsoft’s Instaload lets you use pencil batteries any way you like, no more ‘+ or ‘-‘ stress

While the old school AA and AAA batteries are giving way to slimmer, lighter, easier to manage rechargeable varieties, Microsoft is still thinking for those of us who still employ the use of those good old cylindrical cells. They’ve designed a system called ‘Instaload’ that just allows you to slip pencil cells into a device without worrying about which side each one goes. It does away with the whole ‘+’ and ‘–‘ bit. I have to agree with FastComapny, it’s ridiculous that it’s taken a company, any company, this long to come up with this notion. Microsoft is offering “fair and reasonable license terms” of this technology to be used by other companies in their devices.
