Microsoft PocketTouch enables touchscreen interface in your pocket
by Gareth MankooWhatever happened to the immense hope we had placed in the clear awesomeness that the touchscreen device culture would deliver? Well, it’s back now and this time we’re talking about this amazing Microsoft PocketTouch touchscreen interface that allows you to use the touchscreen features of your phone while in your pocket. That’s fabric-based input. What remains to be seen is how many people can get away with some suspicious actions over their pockets. Definitely, we see some good stuff boiling into this scenario if you’re looking to impress female workers without raising suspicion.
Microsoft is at work on this technology and are keen to enable the back of a PocketTouch device to accept text input. There’s a long way for this technology to go.
