Marshall Headphones introduces Stockwell mini-speaker that’s big on sound

by Gareth Mankoo

Marshall has made its presence clear in the portable audio segment in recent months. Their newer addition is the Stockwell speaker. It may not be much to look at and to some extent resembles a dwarfed amplifier. But wait till you hear it pump out some music. It offers 2.25 woofers and two-channel Class D amplifiers within that company, 1.2 kilogram body. The pair of 2.25 tweeters, in addition to the woofers, ensures that you have a wholesome sound from this little monster. The speaker can be paired with your smartphone via Bluetooth 4.0 (with EDR) or you can simply plug in your 3.5 mm-supporting device into the input, to enjoy great music playback. Believe it or not, they have also incorporated a microphone in the entire mix so that you can use it conveniently with your smartphone.

The Marshall Headphones Stockwell speaker is only an illusion something small and remotely intimidating. The speaker is powered up by rechargeable li-ion batteries, making it highly portable to carry along with you. A full charge can treat you to 25 minutes of non-stop playback. It will be available by the end of this year for $229.
