Lubix Bluetooth headset

by Dhiram Shah

The Lubix from Korean company Ubixon has to be the coolest Bluetooth headset I have ever seen. The pendant type device can be hung around your neck and if you are wondering what is so cool about it, the handy device splits into two to unveil the earphones. The right earphone has controls for cancelling / accepting a phone call, change track, adjust volume, Stop, Play and Pause. The company claims it the first Bluetooth headset to incorporate 3D sound and users can enjoy sound in four modes XOME, LIVE, WIDE, MEX. Lubix supports Bluetooth ver 2.0 with the following profiles A2DP, AVRCP, HSP, HFP and has a range of 10 meters. As it lacks a display it has a longer battery life offering 5 hours of playback and 80 hours of standby.

The Lubix measures 38 x 42 x 13 mm and weighs 22 grams. It is available in Korea for 59,000 KRW ($ 61)
