London Black Cabs to go hi-fi with Wi-Fi in 2013

The amazing connect that everyone around the world has with London’s legendary Black Cabs is quite remarkable. Good news is that these hallmark modes of transport will soon be receiving a major technological facelift by next year. Word is out on the Cabwifi connectivity program that will be launched next year. This makes each cab into a Wi-Fi hotspot. The program has been initiated by the EyeTease company and aims to offer customers wireless connectivity for 15 minutes. During this, they will be treated to a 15-minute advertisement. And that’s that. The drivers will also avail of this connectivity.


The Cabwifi hotspot will automatically switch between 3G and 4G data availability, based on set parameters. Currently 72 London Underground stations boast
